Tiko

Bump reminders

Tiko thanks members after a successful DISBOARD bump and reminds your server when it can bump again. Choose the reminder channel and an optional role to ping.

Preview the bump clock and thank-you cards.

Recommended setup/setup

One reminder per successful bump

After the bump
Tiko sees DISBOARD's Bump done! confirmation and thanks the member in the channel where they bumped.
About two hours later
Tiko posts Bump Time with a clickable DISBOARD /bump command in the reminder channel. It can ping your selected bump role.

Bump reminders start disabled. Members still run DISBOARD's /bump themselves. Each successful bump leads to one reminder.

Before you start

DISBOARD must be in your server with a working /bump command. Members need access to the bump channel, and Tiko must be able to see DISBOARD's success message there, even if reminders go elsewhere.

Your permissions

  • Administrator for the main /setup Auto Setup and its revert controls.
  • Manage Server for /bumpconfig, manual settings, and both message editors.
  • Add Manage Channels and Manage Roles for Automatic setup → Start in that panel.

Tiko's permissions

  • View Channel and Send Messages in the reminder channel.
  • Embed Links for custom embeds and their images, including in the channel where you open an editor.
  • Attach Files for illustrated reminder cards.
  • Administrator for automatic setup. Manual setup works without it.

For role pings, make the role mentionable or let Tiko mention all roles. Give the role to members who want the reminder.

Set up bump reminders automatically

  1. Run /setup. If prompted, choose your main chat channel.
  2. In the Control Center, press Start under Auto Setup.
  3. Review the Bump System result and check its chosen channel and role.
  4. Give the bump role to members who want pings.
  5. After the next successful DISBOARD /bump, Tiko will post a reminder about two hours later.

Auto Setup also configures Tiko's other server features.

Enables bumps
Turns on successful-bump thank-yous and reminders.
Sets a channel
Chooses a place to post reminders. You can change it afterward.
Sets a role
Chooses a Bump role for optional pings. Give it to interested members.

For separate bump setup, use /bumpconfig → Automatic setup → Start.

Set it up yourself

Open /bumpconfig, or use /setup → Control Center → Bump System → Setup. Your choices save as you make them; press Done when finished.

Choose a reminder channel

Under Bump channel, select a regular text channel where Tiko can view and send messages. This is the reminder destination; members can successfully bump in other channels.

To change the destination, select another channel. Remove clears the selection; reminders then appear where members last bumped.

Choose the role to ping

Under Bump role, select a role and give it to interested members. Check that Tiko can mention it. Remove clears the selection, but Tiko may still find an existing bump role. To keep reminders without pings, remove the role mentions from the reminder's Message and save.

Enable the system

At the top of the panel, Enable means bumps are off; press it to turn them on. If the button says Disable, bumps are on. You can also use /enable features or /disable features → Bump System.

Disabling keeps your channel and role choices. After you enable it again, make a new successful bump to receive a reminder.

Customize the bump messages

  1. Open /bumpconfig, or /setup → Control Center → Bump System → Setup.
  2. Find Thank-you message or Reminder message, then press Edit message.
  3. Use Message for the text above the embed and Text for its title, description, and footer. Adjust the design, check the live preview, then press Save & Close.

The preview and controls appear publicly where you open them; use a staff channel. Previews use your account and never ping anyone. Each editor session lasts up to 14 minutes.

Thank-you message

Sent where the successful bump happened. For example, set Message to:

Thank you for bumping, <@user>! You helped more people discover {server_name}.

Keep Image as {thank_you_card} for the generated card. Live messages use the successful bumper's name and avatar. Use {nickname} instead of a mention to thank them without a notification.

Reminder message

Sent about two hours later in the reminder channel. Put {bump_role} in Message for an actual role ping:

{bump_role} Help more people discover {server_name}!

In Text, set a title such as “Time to bump!” and keep the clickable DISBOARD command in the description:

Type </bump:947088344167366698> to bump the server.

Keep Image as {clock_card} for the clock. Member variables refer to the latest successful bumper; they do not ping that person. Remove the bump-role mentions from Message if you want a reminder without a role notification.

Save each design separately

Save & Close saves only the message you are editing. Reset Draft restores that message's default text and embed; save to apply it. Saving a design does not enable the bump system or schedule a reminder.

Editor controls
Message
Plain text above the embed. Put notification mentions here; leave blank to remove the line.
Variables
Shows the supported placeholders privately.
Text
Title, description, optional description continuation, footer, and footer icon URL.
Fields
Opens a private panel to add, edit, and organize embed fields.
Author
Choose Bumper, Server, Custom, or Remove for the name and icon above the embed.
Color
Six-digit hex side color, such as #76544D. This changes the embed, not the generated card.
Thumbnail / Image
Small or large picture. Choose Image URL for a direct link or card variable, or Upload for one PNG, JPG, GIF, or WEBP up to 8 MB. A blank submission clears the picture slot.

Closing a Fields or Author helper only dismisses it. Done in settings does not save a message draft; use the main editor's Save & Close before it expires.

Message variables
VariableWhat it becomes
<@user> / {user}The successful bumper's mention. Only thank-you messages can notify them.
{username} / {nickname}The bumper's username or server display name.
{user_avatar}The bumper's avatar URL.
{server_name}Your server's name.
{server_icon} / {server_avatar}Your server's icon URL.
{bump_role}The resolved bump role. Reminder only; use in Message to notify members.
{thank_you_card} / {bump_card}Generated thank-you card. Thank-you editor only.
{clock_card} / {reminder_card}Generated clock card. Reminder editor only.

Use a generated-card variable alone in Image or Thumbnail. Text supports server emoji shortcodes. Use Variables for supported placeholders; welcome, level-card, reward, and timestamp variables are not available here.

Check that it works

  1. In /bumpconfig, confirm Enabled and check the saved channel and role.
  2. Make sure a member has the role and can read the reminder channel.
  3. Run DISBOARD's /bump and wait for its Bump done! confirmation. A cooldown or failed command does not count.
  4. Look for Tiko's thank-you where the bump happened, then check the reminder channel about two hours later.

The reminder may arrive a little after the two-hour mark. Run a fresh successful bump if you enabled the system after the last one.
