Tiko

Booster rewards

Choose where Tiko thanks boosters, customize the boost and monthly loyalty messages, and decide which buttons and custom roles boosters can use.

Open setup/setup → Fine-tune → Booster Rewards → Setup

Before you start

You need Manage Server for setup panel buttons. Viewing the commands and using the message editor also needs Manage Roles and Manage Channels.

  • Tiko needs Send Messages and Embed Links where boost messages go.
  • For custom roles, Tiko needs Manage Roles, with its role above Server Booster in Server Settings → Roles.
  • Tiko needs Administrator for automatic setup. Manual setup works without it.

Start with automatic setup

  1. Run /setup → Fine-tune → Setup next to Booster System.
  2. Press Start under Automatically set up boost messages and channels.
  3. Wait for the progress message, then review the summary.
Messages
Enables both the Server boost and Monthly loyalty embeds.
Channel
Uses the System Messages channel if it is set for boost notifications only. Otherwise Tiko looks for a clearly named boost channel.
If none exists
Creates an announcements-only channel in a fitting category, with a name that matches your server. Everyone can read it; members cannot post, react, or start threads there.

Start is disabled if a custom boost channel is already set, or both messages are enabled and Discord already posts boosts in your System Messages channel. If Tiko creates a channel but cannot save the setting, it deletes that channel.

The Control Center's separate Auto Setup also configures leveling, drops, rewards, and welcome messages. Both you and Tiko need Administrator for that all-in-one setup. Its Revert Changes button turns both boost messages off, clears the chosen channel, and deletes it if Tiko created it.

Set it up yourself

Open /setup → Fine-tune → Booster Rewards → Setup. The panel posts publicly and closes after two minutes of inactivity. Press Done when finished.

Choose where messages go

Tiko tries a custom booster channel first, then your Discord System Messages channel (Server Settings → Engagement), then the booster's DMs. If DMs are closed too, the booster still gets their rewards without a message.

Leave Discord server setting (default) if your System Messages channel is where you want these posts. Otherwise, choose Select a custom boost channel…. Text and announcement channels both work. Remove custom channel returns to the Discord setting. Tiko checks Send Messages and Embed Links before saving a channel.

Turn each notification on or off

Server boost notification posts right after a boost. Monthly loyalty notification posts every 30 days while the member keeps boosting. Enable or Disable each one separately in the panel.

Enabled uses your custom design if you made one, or Tiko's built-in design. Disabled posts nothing, including in DMs. Disabling a message does not stop rewards. Servers that already had Tiko were switched on with this update; new servers start with both messages off.

Each boost can give 250 Hyper Gems and 200 Hospitality Points, up to two server boost rewards per UTC month. Monthly loyalty gives the same amounts every 30 days. Tiko checks monthly payouts at 8:00 AM UTC, so they can arrive up to a day later. Boosters also earn 25% more XP while boosting.

Customize the messages

Click Customize next to Server boost message or Monthly loyalty message. Choose Server boost reward or Monthly booster reward from the menu. They have separate designs, each with a live preview and editor.

The editor labels each message Bot default, Custom, or Turned off. If it is off, turn it on in booster setup for members to see it.

How saving works

Each edit saves as soon as you submit it. ✓ Save & Close closes the editor. The editor stays open for two hours.

Choose the message buttons

Both boost messages can show these three buttons. All are attached by default.

ButtonWhat it opens
Hyper GemThe Hyper Gem Mart.
Hospitality MarketThe server's role shop, where members spend Hospitality Points on roles set up by admins.
Custom RoleThe Custom Role Studio, also available through /customrole.

In either editor, use Attach / Detach Hyper Gem, Attach / Detach Hospitality, and Attach / Detach Custom Role. Your choices apply to both messages. Detaching all three leaves the messages without buttons.

Allow custom roles

Custom roles are allowed by default. Use /allow customroles to allow them or /disallow customroles to block the Custom Role Studio. Blocking it does not delete roles boosters already made.

A current booster opens /customrole or the message button, chooses a name and color, then presses Save Changes. They can add an icon if your server has reached Boost Level 2. Basic colors can use two-color gradients when the server supports them; Prismatic colors follow the booster's avatar and update when it changes.

Tiko creates the role just above Server Booster and gives it to the booster. If Tiko's own role is too low, the custom role may be created but its color may not show. When the member stops boosting, Tiko deletes their custom role, ends monthly rewards, and resets their boost streak. Their earned Hyper Gems and Hospitality stay with them. A second boost does not reset the streak.
