Features to improve New Member Retention & Activation
Tiko has dedicated features to help increase Discord member retention and activation by rewarding real welcomes, meaningful conversations, and server-made cosmetics members can earn.
How do we do that?
An automated welcome message tells a server that somebody joined, but it does not give existing members a reason to respond. A newcomer can still arrive, receive a message from a bot, and then be ignored by the people they came to meet.
Tiko connects its welcome message to community participation. Existing members earn rewards for welcoming a newcomer directly, so the new member is greeted by real people instead of only an automated message.
More active members earn more because their level raises the payout, and each welcome can roll a larger reward. Welcoming becomes part of the server's progression rather than an empty formality.
Users can enable both or either welcome message and welcome rewards from the setup panel.
Tiko goes even further so new members don't get ignored
Saying "welcome" acknowledges a new member. But talking with them makes them part of the community. Tiko's Hospitality system runs alongside welcome rewards to recognize that deeper engagement. The first person to reply to the newcomer earns a point. If the newcomer replies back to someone, that person earns a point too. Members who sustain the conversation can keep earning for a defined period.
Members spend Hospitality points in a market designed by the server's admins. Admins choose the cosmetic roles, prices, icons, and categories; members choose which rewards reflect their identity. Purchased roles can be equipped throughout the server, remain owned after they are unequipped, and are automatically refunded if an admin removes them.
