Tikos Dead Chat Revival System on Discord
Tiko includes a unique chat revival system that encourages members to not only ping the revival role via /revive but also encourages them to talk.
How does it work?
In a dry channel members may be willing to talk, but nobody wants to be the only person speaking. Scheduled messages, automatic events, and "say something" prompts can provide a topic, but they do not reward someone for taking the social risk of speaking first or give other members a reason to respond. Tiko addresses both parts of the problem.
Tiko verifies that a channel is actually inactive before starting a revival. A designated member with the Reviver role can trigger it with one command, and Tiko then pings the server's chat revive role. This keeps the system focused on conversations that genuinely need restarting.
The reviver earns in-game currency for doing the hardest part: being the first person to break the silence and start a conversation.
Tiko also rewards every member who joins. Instead of stopping after one prompt, the system gives the wider community a reason to respond and keep the conversation alive.
Built-in icebreakers
Rewards give members a reason to participate, while built-in truth or dare and topic commands remove the pressure of deciding what to say. Tiko provides both the incentive and the starting point needed to get a quiet channel moving.
